How to Find and Choose a Sending Organization (Part 1)
How to Find a Good Sending Organization

Many people choose their sending organization based on a referral from a relative, acquaintance, or school teacher, but that might not be the best choice. It is important to find a good sending organization on your own.
Here is how to find them.
Gather Information Online
You can find reviews online from former trainees about sending organizations so read through them for reference.
Search for personal experience stories from technical intern trainees. Some websites have many experience stories, and provide the list of sending organizations, cost for each organization, and the amount of money sent back to the home country.
Gather Information from Seniors
Gather information from technical intern trainees currently living in Japan. They also exchange information with trainees from other companies and know about other sending organizations and unions. On the other hand, trainees who have already returned to their home countries, in many cases, become a broker, a position to receive a referral fee from the sending organization.
Visit the Sending Organization
Once you have narrowed down the sending organizations based on online reviews and information from your seniors, visit several sending organizations and observe their Japanese classes.

How to Find and Choose a Sending Organization (Part 2)
Then, after finding several sending organizations, what should you pay attention to in order to narrow down and select one? In this article, Part 2, we will introduce the key points of how to select a sending organization.
Directly Contact the Sending Organization
Contact the sending organization by yourself when you arrange a visit. You may be able to save a lot of money by simply contacting them directly instead of going through a referral. In most cases, if a teacher, relative, or friend introduces you to a sending organization, a gratuity for those people will be added to your bill.
It is important to thoroughly search and compare it with other sending organizations on your own.
Beware of Expensive Sending Organizations!
According to data collected by a newspaper company from more than 40 Vietnamese trainees and former trainees, the most common fee paid by trainees to a sending organization was between 600,000 yen and 650,000 yen. It is not at all guaranteed that you will be introduced to a company that offers high salaries even if you pay an expensive fee.
“Expensive sending organizations are safer”, “Referred organizations by teachers, relatives, and friends are the best” → These beliefs are wrong.

Technical intern trainees who came to Japan paying low fees (a good example)
Conversely, many trainees who have borrowed a lot of money to pay expensive fees to sending organizations have left their company in the middle of their training. Large amount of debt is a burden, and many trainees are tempted to work illegally to make more money. However, if you run away, your employment will be unstable, and in fact, your long-term income will be much lower than if you continue with your technical intern training.
Sending organizations demand high fees due to large amount of gratuity paid to brokers and Japanese union (supervisory organization).
However, there are organizations that do not require gratuities or accept them. Choose the right sending organization for good technical training.
