Story of a SSW Migrant
I am Md. Salahuddin. In October 2017, I arrived in Japan with a heart full of dreams and a firm determination. I began my professional career by joining a reputable Japanese company under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) visa. Adapting to a new country, a new language, and a different culture was challenging, but I stayed true to my belief that hard work paves its own way.
I successfully completed my three-year tenure with dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. During this period, I realized that surviving and thriving in Japan requires more than just technical skills—linguistic proficiency is equally vital. Alongside my work, I prioritized mastering the Japanese language and, through rigorous study, successfully passed the JLPT N2 exam.
Upon completing my three-year term, I transitioned to the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa, which I view as a recognition of my expertise and experience. However, I didn’t stop there. Driven by a desire for continuous self-improvement and confidence, I eventually secured a position as an Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services (Gijinkoku). I am currently working for a well-known company in Chiba Prefecture.
Looking back, I can proudly say that this journey was not easy, but it was certainly not impossible. I firmly believe that with hard work, patience, and self-belief, success is inevitable. My current position is not just a personal milestone; it is proof that anyone can succeed with a clear goal, consistent effort, and faith in oneself.
This journey has made me more responsible and confident, providing me with the daily inspiration to reach even greater heights in the future.
